1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ABEConnect Private Limited, the entity that owns and operates the Arkannect brand (referred to as Arkannect, we, us, or our), collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal data when you download, install, register for, access, or use the My Arkannect mobile application (the “App“), or otherwise interact with us through it.

The App enables Arkannect customers to monitor the performance of their solar systems, access project-related information and documents, raise and track service requests, receive maintenance and warranty support, view notifications, and access other services offered by Arkannect.

We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and other applicable digital laws of India.

2. Acceptance of this Policy

By downloading, installing, registering for, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or provide your personal data.

Where required by law, we will collect and process your personal data only after obtaining your consent.

3. Who is Responsible for Your Data

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Arkannect acts as the Data Fiduciary, and you, the individual whose personal data is collected, are the Data Principal.

a. Information You Provide to Us

  • Solar project information including installation details, inverter information, warranty details, and system records linked to your account.
  • Service and support information such as service requests, complaints, photographs, documents, and communications submitted through the App.
  • Project-related documents including warranty certificates, installation reports, user manuals, electricity bills, and other records made available through the App.
  • Any other information voluntarily shared while communicating with us through the App.

b. Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information including your IP address, device identifiers, device model, operating system, application version, language settings, usage information, crash reports, diagnostic information, and other technical data necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the App.

c. Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, inverter monitoring platforms, authorised installation partners, channel partners, financing and payment partners, government authorities, electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), regulatory bodies, analytics providers, and other service providers in connection with the services offered through the App.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your customer account.
  • To authenticate your identity and provide secure access to the App.
  • To monitor and display your solar system performance and related information.
  • To provide warranty, maintenance, and after-sales support.

  • To send service updates, alerts, reminders, OTPs, and push notifications.
  • To facilitate EMI payment redirection through authorised payment partners, where applicable.
  • To operate, maintain, personalise, and improve the App and our services.

  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, or misuse of the App.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of all or substantially all of our business or assets.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including providing our services, maintaining your customer account, fulfilling warranty and service obligations, complying with legal, tax, regulatory, and contractual requirements, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

13. Children

The App and the services provided through it are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
